Manduva
Lahore Biennale Foundation · Research Assistant · June–August 2022
Manduva is an exploration of seven and a half decades of Pakistani cinema, an attempt to initiate the archiving and reading of an indigenous cinematic syntax.
As part of the Lahore Biennale Foundation's Virtual Museum (Cinema), I contributed to the development of a directory of Pakistani films and songs (1950s–2020s) for archival purposes.
I also produced a video essay and compilation on the history of on-screen sexual intimacy and representations of the female body, under the mentorship of filmmaker Sarmad Khoosat, for the exhibition Manduva.
Curated by Sarmad Khoosat · Exhibited by the Lahore Biennale Foundation with the British Council.
